The recently completed Colonnade project is a two-story shell building, located on the corner of El Paseo and Lupine streets in Palm Desert. The Colonnade was designed by Prest Vuksic Architects and shows off their signature look including angles, shapes, finish materials and colors. Typical of many buildings located on El Paseo the Colonnade is a beautiful and unique design. The Colonnade showcases a nice blend of finish materials consisting of smooth and dash plaster finishes, El Dorado stone veneer, lots of storefront glass, rolled standing seam sheet metal roofing and lots of exposed structural steel components. The north east building corner of the 2nd floor is a glass wall system which when opened up allows for un-obstructed access to the large outdoor dinning terrace. From the outdoor terrace and walks there is a 360 degree view of the mountains and foothills surrounding the valley. The terrace, walks and two stair ways are finished in slate stone. The building was designed and constructed to accommodate a restaurant on the 2nd floor and up to seven tenant spaces on the 1st floor. Our client is currently in lease negotiations with an upscale restaurant to occupy the 2nd floor and has opened discussions with a high end clothing retailer to occupy the 1st floor.
